Can I request weekly or fortnightly housekeeping?
Yes. You can request a one-off visit, weekly, fortnightly or another frequency. Switch On will review the tasks, suitable visit length and team availability before a regular arrangement is confirmed.
What is the difference between regular cleaning and a deep clean?
Regular cleaning keeps your home on top of things: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen surfaces and bathrooms. A deep clean adds inside cupboards and appliances, skirting boards, internal windows and limescale, and usually takes 4–8 hours.
Can I choose which rooms are prioritised?
Yes. Share your priorities in the request. A visit needs an agreed scope and time allowance, so tell the team if certain rooms should come first or if the priorities are likely to change.
Do I provide the cleaning products and equipment?
No, we bring the equipment. Let us know if you’d like particular products used in your home.
Are laundry and ironing part of housekeeping?
They can be discussed as additional tasks, but they are not automatically part of a routine cleaning quote. Explain what you need and ask the team to confirm availability, visit time and any price difference.
Do I have to stay at home during the visit?
Access arrangements should be agreed in advance. Discuss whether someone will be present, any key arrangements and instructions for alarms or pets. A request does not authorise access until the booking and arrangements are confirmed.
Can I combine housekeeping with handyman jobs?
Yes. Select both services and describe the tasks separately. The team will review the work, required materials and suitable scheduling, rather than treating repairs as part of an ordinary cleaning visit.
