Privacy policy
Switch On Property Service Limited (company number 17558168), trading as Switch On Property Services, is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact hello@freshfixit.co.uk about privacy or your information. Updated 4 November 2026.
Information we collect
When you enquire or request a service, we collect your name, email, telephone number if supplied, property address, requested services, access arrangements, preferred dates, messages and your acknowledgement of our information notice. When a job is agreed, we also keep the quote, appointment, job notes, invoices, payment references and relevant correspondence. Please avoid sending sensitive information or information about other people unless necessary and you are entitled to share it.
How and why we use information
We use enquiry and booking details to respond to your request, prepare quotes and carry out an agreed contract. We keep financial records to meet legal obligations. We use necessary operational and security records for our legitimate interests in protecting the website, organising our team, resolving complaints and keeping accurate business records. Optional marketing requires a separate appropriate permission; submitting a request does not subscribe you to marketing.
Where information comes from
We normally receive information directly from you. A landlord, letting agent or another authorised person may provide contact and property details to arrange a service. We use those details only for that arrangement and explain the source when contacting the person concerned.
Who receives information
Authorised Switch On office staff and the people assigned to your job receive the details needed for their role. Our hosting and database providers (Lovable and Supabase), Google Workspace email provider and relevant technical support providers process information to operate the service. Stripe processes payment information when an enabled Stripe payment service is used; Switch On does not store full payment card details. Accountants, insurers, professional advisers or public authorities may receive records where necessary for accounting, a claim or a legal obligation. We do not sell personal information.
International processing
Our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where restricted international transfers apply, we use the relevant UK adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the providers, locations and safeguards applying to your records.
How long we keep information
Our retention policy is to review enquiries that do not become jobs after 12 months and delete or anonymise them when no longer needed. We normally retain booking, invoice and payment records for six years after the end of the relevant accounting period for accounting and potential claims. We retain a record longer only where a legal requirement, active dispute or claim makes this necessary. Operational and security records are reviewed and removed when no longer needed. These are retention rules, not a promise of instant automatic deletion; contact us to request a review.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where consent is used without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some accounting and legal records must be retained. We may need to verify your identity. Email hello@freshfixit.co.uk. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Information needed for a booking
Contact details and enough information about the property and work are needed to prepare and fulfil a booking. If essential details are missing, we may be unable to quote or carry out the service. Booking requests are reviewed by our office; we do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing.
Cookies, security and changes
Our cookie policy explains browser storage. We restrict access to business records and use appropriate technical and organisational measures. No system is completely risk-free. We update this notice when our processing changes and provide further information where required.
